As Art without Boarders is the only venue in Iceland solely dedicated to exhibiting the works of disabled artists the festival regularly gets requests to participate in international projects. We are always open to new opportunities so if you are interested in working with us or have work you would like to exhibit at the festival please contact us.

We also advice on possible partners in Iceland for co-operational projects.

Art without Borders has in the past years participated in many international operational projects. Art without Borders is a member of EOA - European Outsider Art Association and a founding member of NOA - Nordic Outsider Art. International co-operation is important, not only to the festival itself, but also for the art scene and the artists in Iceland. An important part of a creative process is to get to know the work of other artists and broaden ones network. Art without Borders wants to create an international platform in Iceland both to extend the art scene in Iceland and also to increase opportunities for Icelandic artists internationally.

Undanfarin ár hefur hátíðin tekið þátt í fleiri og fleiri alþjóðlegum samstarfsverkefnum. Má þar m.a. nefna norræna verkefnið Out by Art sem hafði það að tilgangi að auka þátttöku fatlaðra listamanna í videolist. Videoverkin sem unnin voru í verkefninu voru frumsýnd á Nýlistasafninu í Svíþjóð vorið 2018 og hafa síðan þá verið sýnd víða um heim. Hátíðin tók einnig þátt í verkefninu Open Minds Network og er samstarfsaðili í verkefninu. Hátíðin hefur einnig boðið erlendum listamönnum og hópum að sýna á hátíðinni og má þar nefna Share Music frá Svíþjóð, finnska danshópinn Kaaos Kompany sem sérhæfir sig í samstarfi á milli fatlaðra og ófatlaðra dansara og finnska ljósmyndahópinn Pekka Elomaa & Lyhti Ensemble.
